    Dr Mandel Sher

    Dr. Mandel Sher is a Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of South Florida, Division of Allergy & Immunology. As USF faculty at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, he has helped train over 100 physician specialists and collaborates with colleagues in clinical care, research and training. Dr. Sher has more than 25 years of experience in clinical drug trials. In 2009 Dr. Sher established Center for Cough, a discrete and comprehensive chronic cough center concept for evaluation and treatment of chronic refractory and unexplained chronic cough. Since opening the center, Dr. Sher has diagnosed and treated over 1,500 adults. Center for Cough, with a large subject data base, is a leading site for clinical trials of novel cough drugs. Dr. Sher is a consultant to pharma on the clinical aspects of chronic cough drug development. He is a co-author of numerous scientific articles on chronic cough, a frequent speaker at professional society meetings, and member of educational cough program planning committees.

    Dr. Sher graduated from Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University with post graduate training at Duke, Harvard, and University of Michigan. He has Board Certification in Allergy and Immunology and Pediatrics. Dr. Sher is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
